Certified Installation Guidelines
Certified Installers have agreed to adhere to the AMTC installation rates shown in this document.
Installers referred by AMTC must possess adequate insurance coverage, have good references,
and maintain proper permits and equipment. Occasionally, circumstances will require deviation
from these suggested rates due to permits and licensing fees, unusual site conditions, excessive
travel time to reach your location, higher prevailing labor rates for certain metropolitan areas, etc.
If this is the case, the installer must disclose, and you must agree to, any additional charges
before work is scheduled or commenced. In the event that an on-site survey is required to
determine such additional charges, the installer must disclose, and you must agree to the
charge, if any, for such on-site survey. AMTC recommends that in all cases, you get an
estimate or quote in writing before allowing an installer to commence work.
Please remember that AMTC is serving solely as a facilitator. The installer will contract with
you directly, and is solely responsible for the quality of work performed. Similarly, you are
solely responsible for payment for any work performed by the Installer. AMTC does not, in any
way, take or mediate payment for installation of equipment. Please direct any questions
regarding installation details, pricing, etc. directly to the installer.
Basic Eos Music and Messaging Installation - $100.00
For Eos music and in-store messaging, this includes the physical connection of the player device to the
PA amplifier, verification of in-store play and level adjustment.
For telephone "on-hold" use, this includes the physical connection of player device to telephone system's
"music on hold"
input, any programming required to activate the music on hold feature, verification of on hold play
and level adjustment. This does not include labor or materials required if additional cards,
adapters or other accessories are necessary to allow the system to accept music on hold.
Fee includes up to 30 minutes of travel time to job site. (see Trip and Travel Charges below)
Sound System Equipment Installation (at time of Eos installation)
- $30.00 per speaker (assumes recessed-mount speakers run in series in suspended
ceiling)
- $25.00 per volume control mounted beside PA amplifier
- $75.00 per volume control mounted on wall in separate locations (assumes fishing wire
through wall)
- $25.00 connection and set up of PA amplifier
- Ceiling height not to exceed 12 feet
- Distance from PA amplifier to first speaker not to exceed 50 feet
- Distance between speakers not to exceed 20 feet
- Speaker wire provided by installer
Additional Charges (if applicable)
- Cabling through multiple floors - $85.00 additional for every 2 floors of cabling above the
first floor
- Aborted Job Charge $125.00
This applies if installer is called to a location and cannot
perform work due to customer issues, or misrepresentations made by customer during
telephone site survey. Do not schedule an installer until you are certain you have all of
your equipment at your installation site.
- Hourly charge of $85.00 for any labor outside of the scope detailed above.
- Any permits required by local code. If the installer pulls the permits for you, he/she may also
expect to be paid for this service.
Trip and Travel Charges
AMTC uses Google Maps and Microsoft Streets & Trips to determine travel time between an
installer’s base location and a job site. If travel time is 30 minutes or less, we consider the job site
to be within the installer's 'home territory' and no travel time or trip charges shall be charged. For
job sites more than 30 minutes away from the installer’s base location, travel time/trip charges
may be charged in an amount not to exceed $20.00 per 15 minutes of travel time, or portion
thereof, in excess of thirty minutes. For reference:
